Comprehensive Overview of State-of-the-Art Operation Theatres
Introduction
In this article, we present a comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art operation theatres that play a critical role in modern medical facilities. Our operation theatres are equipped with cutting-edge technology, advanced features, and meticulous design to ensure optimal patient care and provide an ideal learning environment for medical students. We take pride in offering top-notch facilities for minor and major surgical procedures, connecting various departments, and providing advanced pre and post-operative care.
Central Air Conditioning for Enhanced Comfort
Our operation theatres boast a state-of-the-art centrally air-conditioned environment, ensuring optimal temperature and humidity control. This controlled atmosphere helps create a sterile and comfortable setting, vital for successful surgeries. Patients and medical staff alike benefit from the superior air quality, reducing the risk of infection and ensuring a safe surgical environment.
Segregation of Minor OT and Major OT
To streamline our surgical processes, we have classified our operation theatres into two categories: Minor OT and Major OT. The Minor OT is directly connected to casualty, Surgical OPD, Ophthalmology, OBG OPD, Orthopaedics OPD, and ENT departments. On the other hand, the Major OT is connected to General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT, and OBG departments. This efficient arrangement allows seamless workflow and specialization based on the nature of the surgical procedure.
Pre-Anaesthetic and Pre-Operative Rooms
Prior to surgery, it is essential to ensure patients are adequately prepared and evaluated. Our operation theatres are equipped with dedicated pre-anaesthetic and pre-operative rooms, providing a comfortable space for patients before they undergo surgery. These rooms have six beds, allowing medical professionals to conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, ensuring patients are in optimal condition before the procedure begins.
Post-Operative Recovery Rooms
Post-surgery, patients require proper care and monitoring during the critical recovery phase. To facilitate this, our operation theatres have ten beds in the post-operative recovery rooms. These rooms are equipped with advanced monitoring systems to keep a close eye on patients’ vital signs, allowing medical staff to respond promptly to any complications that may arise during the recovery process.
Advanced Oxygen Supply and Suction Unit
Ensuring uninterrupted oxygen supply during surgeries is of utmost importance. Our operation theatres are equipped with a central oxygen supply system, eliminating the need for individual oxygen tanks and providing a reliable and efficient source of oxygen. Additionally, we have a dedicated nitrous oxide supply to cater to specific surgical requirements. Furthermore, a central suction unit is in place to maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment by efficiently removing unwanted fluids and debris.
Innovative Closed Circuit Cameras and Recording Systems
Education and continuous learning are integral to medical institutions, and we take pride in our commitment to medical education. To aid in this endeavor, all our operation theatres are equipped with closed circuit cameras and recording systems. These technologies enable students to observe and learn from various live surgeries as they are being performed. This hands-on learning experience enhances their understanding and prepares them for real-life surgical scenarios.
